Today was unbelievable! I can tell you how many strikers are greatful to the TWRC.
today I gave out coffee, ice water and cookies to the strikes at 5 locations. I ran out of cookies midway thur and had to get more.
I was at the Arlington C.O. giving out water to the strikes when a younger man come up to me and ask for a ice water, I thought he was a striker so I gave him a bottle. Then he turn to me and said I am
a manager honey and I would like you to take this money from me to pay for the stuff that you bring to thiese guys they are good fellows and he then handed me a large amount of cash and left quickly before i could thank him or get his name.
Then as i was talk to the guys there they told me a story that the day before a man came up to them and told them he was a manager dealing with the CWA end and he came them money to buy lunch for everyone.
Now there must be something very wrong with the Verizon negotiators if they can't see there own management people think what they are doing is wrong. Greed is very wrong.
We are happy to donate again. Lets hope we can get these folks back to work soon 1
Thanks for all your effort to get
all the retirees invole in supporting the strikes

I was out there for 3 1/2 months in 1989
Kathleen Walsh retired 10/31/97
Well I have been out there every other day with coffee and donuts. But today was bad with all the rain and wind.
Maryann suggusted given out ponchos with coffee. Let me tell you that was a great hit everyone sure needed a poncho today and they are all very greatful to the retiree club, so coffee and donuts and ponchoes were on the menu from all that donated money to the strkers. I deliver to the Malden, Medford and Alington Area.
MaryAnn has been doing Boston area and her husband goes in at night. they been giving out coffee and water. Joan Norton has been a big donator in the boston area and even had an ice cream truck go around to the different areas
I can tell you this I'm so proud to be a IBEW retiree to see how much each of you care about the strikers and how you never forgot how it was to be out there. This bring tears of joy to my eyes to see how proudly we all stand with our brothers and sisters
GOD LOVES YOU ALL
Heard about the strike donationfrom fellow Verizon retiree,David MacDonald, (we donot have a computer). that dollar from each TWRC member would help with the coffee and water for the strikers.
WONDERFUL IDEA !!!!!
Hope the strike won't be a long one and that verizon realizes the workers deserve
what they are asking for !!!
